Bean Origin: Columbia Decaf Magia del Campo VLI Women's Lot
Roast: Dark
Flavor Profile: Notes of Maple, Vanilla and Dark Chocolate
A Brief History in this Decaf Columbian Coffee: The decaffeination process was developed in Germany by Ludwig Roselius after believing his father, who was a professional coffee taster, had died prematurely due to excessive caffeine intake. He patented his technique in 1906.
Lighter roast styles produce notes of cherry, vanilla, almond brittle, and maple. Darker roasts heavier and sugars further caramelized, exhibiting notes of marzipan, pipe tobacco, dark chocolate, and molasses.
